For our rotations at JPH, we had earlier booked accommodations for one month at an AirBNB. This is farther away from the hospital and kinda isolated. We came to know about this apartment from one of our colleagues, also doing rotations at JPH. We ended up switching over our accommodation to this place finally and our stay was amazing! This is a newly built apartment, near University of Chicago, Area is extremely safe and it's very close to the Lakefront Trail and Hyde Park. Supermarket Jewel Osco is also nearby. Exact address is 6156 S. Kenwood, Chicago, IL 60637. The charges for the stay are very reasonable and much cheaper than AirBnB's. The apartment has 4 floors and all floors have accommodations in the east and west side of the building. Each separate accommodation has 5 separate bedrooms, 2 washrooms, kitchen space with utensils and gas stove, common room with sofa and dining chair, balcony, central AC as well and free washing machine and dryer in the apartment itself. You need not buy towels, tissue papers, utensils or hangers for your stay as they are provided. In case you are looking for a good accommodation in Chicago, near University of Chicago, Hyde Park or Jackson Park Hospital feel free to contact us. We had a tough time looking for a place to stay which was both safe as well as affordable. We hope to make this USMLE journey simpler and easier for other aspirants.
